Double Chocolate Brownies
The Double Chocolate Brownies that I make and my family raves about came about by experimentation. If you have read other portions of this site you will know that I strongly recommend not to experiment with recipes for baked items that rise. Technically, brownies hit this category but they are an exception. Actually, brownies are failed cake recipes that have fallen so you can play a bit with these and still get what you expect most of the time.
Use a basic brownie mix, my favorite is the one in the box of Hershey's Baker's Chocolate. I have tried this also with basic box mixes and have used it with a variety of chocolate brownie recipes.
Most brownie mixes have options to add nuts of some sort, usually walnuts. Instead of the nuts add in chocolate chips in the same amount. You may have to add a minute or two to the cooking time because of the extra moisture. When you are done the result will be scrumptiously delicious.
I will be continually expanding the items here and if you would like to be informed you can sign up for my update and recipe list at the top right.
